webVUE is the heart of the CrossTalk Platform. It is the graphical HMI (human-machine interface) which has been developed with an emphasis on increasing productivity and reducing costs. It alleviates having to overcome a learning curve. It's intuitive and truly user-friendly!

OVERVIEW

webVUE enables you to graphically portray the data points in your system on web pages for local or remote access. Additionally, it interacts with and provides access to critical information in your organization. This information includes AutoCAD drawings, equipment manuals, databases, maintenance management programs, security/surveillance systems, lighting controls, and much more. Having usable information readily available has resulted in substantially increased manpower optimization and cost savings for our customers.

webVUE allows for an unlimited number of web pages. The web pages and all objects on them are assigned an access level, allowing you to decide who can view and control your systems.

webVUE was designed to be extremely easy to use; both in creating web pages and working with information. It utilizes drag and drop technology for graphical objects as well as point data. To create a web page, you simply drag one or more of the available objects onto the screen and then drag the appropriate point information onto the object. Save the page and it's instantly accessible via the Internet to any of member of your team. That's all there is to it! Fast. Easy. Powerful.

OPC SERVER

At the heart of webVUE is the OPC Server. It automatically maintains a history of all point information. The OPC Server writes new information to the database based on a polling time and degree of change determined by you. The OPC Server also provides for dynamic English. If a point name or other information changes on the controller level, it is automatically changed at the webVUE level. This eliminates outdated or incorrect information.

ALARMS

webVUE incorporates the power of an alarm server called alarmVUE. As with the rest of the platform, drag and drop technology is employed for setting up logical, level and digital alarms. Templates are also provided allowing the setup of multiple similar alarms at once! The alarmVUE object can then be dropped onto a web page to show all current alarms. Notifications can be sent via email, instant messaging and text enabled pagers or cell phones. A history of alarms and notifications is maintained.

REAL-TIME AND HISTORY GRAPHS

webVUE allows you to monitor any number of points in a real-time or historical graph. Both graphs are simply objects dropped onto the web page. The historical graph can be configured to view any time frame desired. This provides an easy method of diagnosing equipment issues.

AUTOCAD VIEWER/PDF VIEWER

With webVUE's AutoCAD viewer and PDF viewer, your team has instant remote access to any drawing or document needed. This alleviates the need to return to the office to get the documentation, or worse, waste valuable time tracking down the information. Drawings can be electronically red-lined as changes are made so that your information is kept accurate.

DATABASE ACCESS

webVUE allows access to any ODBC compliant database you desire. The uses are endless, but include access to inventory information, work order history, equipment maintenance information, etc. Again, this is simply a drag-and-drop object.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Even if you currently have a DDC system that is working well for you, integrating it into webVUE and the CrossTalk Platform unleashes its capabilities and makes the interface user-friendly. You suddenly have much more flexibility in addition to remote access. webVUE also integrates lighting control systems, power monitoring systems, security/surveillance systems, maintenance management systems, and more.
